for Uvalde Radio Network. You will help Uvalde and area businesses
increase consumer awareness and increase their sales using the
power of three radio stations.
This tremendous entry-level position is open now. With hard work
this can be your launching pad to a rewarding position in broadcasting
with high income potential. The successful applicant will receive
salary plus a commission for sales to an assigned account list.
Being bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
Uvalde Radio Network believes in training. Seminars, Radio Advertising
Bureau materials and support plus in-house weekly sales training
are part of the opportunity.

Positions
General Manager responsible for the overall operation
of a station. General Sales Manager hires and supervises the sales
staff, develops sales plans and goals. (Some larger stations may have
separate national, regional and local sales managers.)
Program Director responsible for the on-air product
of the station, controls production, talent, program schedules.
News Director runs the news department, assigns
stories to reporters, identifies news issues within the community.
Chief Engineer responsible for all technical operations
at the station.
Announcers/Disc
Jockeys depending on a station’s format, will host and
produce programs, read commercial copy and public service announcements.
Account Executive
makes calls on potential advertisers to sell time on the station.
Traffic Director links the programming and sales
departments by collecting data to prepare a daily broadcast schedule,
keeps track of up to the minute commercial time availabilities.
In addition, the director reconciles the accounts and prepares the
bills. The director is also responsible for communications via
the telephone for information requests and station activity. Receptionist entry level position with duties that
vary depending on the station.
