We don't have anyone in Iraq, but my son-in-law, Justin (2000 Uvalde HS grad) is in Afghanistan right now until June 2005 (or up to 18 months).
Just wanted to also pass on info that there are 2 great sites for Mothers (or Parents/Spouses) of deployed military: www.militarymoms.net and www.militaryfriends.net. Lots of great info for the families, prayer requests, "do's and don'ts" as far as what to say or not say, send or not send, etc. Very informative.
Military Moms has a 24/7 Prayer Vigil going on right now. We need more people to sign up for the 15 minute prayer time slots. Also, we are taking names of military personnel to add to the prayer list. First name only and branch of service. No last names are ever made public to help protect our sons and daughters that are deployed.
